Judit Price is a career/college counselor and vocational advisor with over 20 years experience. She holds a Masters Degree in counseling and she is a Masters level certified guidance counselor. Her early work as a college counselor in a school for learning disabled students gave her the insight to explore the need for developing self-esteem through the pursuit of a satisfying vocation. She now counsels high school and college students in career direction, specializes in vocational assessment for learning challenged students and works extensively with career changes and people in transition. At Weaver Center she is responsible for the integration of the Neuropsychology evaluation with educational and personality assessment. She consults for various organizations in the greater Boston area and helps people from all walks of life to plan out what they are best suited to do. She also leads workshops and trains other professionals in career development and other employment-related topics.
“My career counseling philosophy is a holistic one. I believe we can’t divorce ourselves from who we are and what we do. When I counsel I look at the total picture and together with the client we work on the pieces and build a picture puzzle. If one part of the puzzle is missing the picture is not complete. To have career satisfaction all the person’s characteristics have to fit. I figure out what people are best suited for and together we decide on the action plan. Then I train my clients how to get what they want and how to reach their goals. I also train people in job readiness and employment skills.”
